They say. He says.

They call it restrictions.

God calls it obedience.

They say “Follow you heart’s desires.”

God says “Delight in Me, and I’ll grant you your heart’s desires.” (Psalm 37:4)

They say “Wow! She is gorgeous!”

God says “Charm is deceitful. But you who fear Me shall be praised.” (Proverbs 31:30)

They say “If you do not think about yourself, no one will.”

God says “Put others’ needs before your own, and I’ll reward you.” (Philippians 2:3-4; Luke 6:35)

When you’ve tried your best to do things that please God, putting others’ need before your own but no one seem to appreciate, know that the Lord your God in heaven sees and He will not forget you. Afterall, He is the reason for all things we do…so do it unto Him with joy! :]

Your Perfect Love & Grace

Few days back, while looking at the windscreen wiper, I was reminded of God’s perfect love and grace for us.

Raindrops were falling against the windscreen, and every time the windscreen wiper moved across the windscreen, the raindrops were swept away, leaving the windscreen spotless and clear.

In the same way, I realised, that is how Christ’s love for us is, isn’t it? He died, that we can live. He bled, that we can be freed.

Every time we sin, it’s like the windscreen having more and more drops of rain on it, until the point when we can no longer see clearly where we are heading… Sometimes we are so used to sinning that we no longer realise that they are sins, and we continue heading at the wrong direction.

Then comes Christ, who cleanses us like a windscreen wiper. Every single time when there are new sins in our lives, He clean it off without hesitation…so freely and mercifully.

How great is His love for us?

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)

-Ephesians 2:4-5
